Are you afraid to fail? Most people are. This fear often causes people to deter their success. The truth is, failure is an important part of success. It helps you to navigate through your journey that leads you to successfully achieving your goal.

Let’s use a common goal many people have these days. The goal to lose weight. Almost everyone at one point in their life has desired to be thinner and more in shape. Losing weight isn’t easy and if you have ever had a battle with the bulge you will definitely understand the struggle.

Eating is an essential part of life. Consuming healthy nutrients, vitamins and fats keep our bodies healthy and energized so we can live the life of our dreams. We are blessed to live in a country that has an endless food supply. Actually, food is enjoyed so much that there are more than one food networks available to watch 24 hours per day 7 days a week. How lucky are we, right?

This is a huge difference compared to countries that’s residents have to die of starvation and malnutrition. Yes. We are definitely blessed to have access to almost any food we want to consume. Unfortunately, our stressful lives, obstacles, and terrible memories cause us to reach for food as comfort instead of nutritional value.

Erica RoselloLet’s admit right now that on a difficult day when you received bad news, chances are you enjoyed a few sweets that evening to help you relax and feel comforted. It happens to the best of us. The problem is, life is stressful and long-lasting, which means we are consuming those comforting sweets or junk food on a daily basis just to help us get through the days.

Generally, we all wish that we can eat as much food as we can without gaining weight. Surely you would cheer in excitement if suddenly it were announced that all of your favorite junk foods were zero calories. Actually, most of us would cheer if that happened.

Reality sets in when we reach a weight that puts our health at risk. We usually spring into action and change our diet after our doctor tells us we have high blood pressure, sugar diabetes and other health complications due to weight gain. At this point, our fear of failing on a diet disappears because we are literally fighting for our lives.

If you are afraid of failing in any situation, push forward and strive for success. If you fail along the way it only teaches you lessons that help keep you on track to your goal.
